DROSERA

Drosera arenicola
on Auyan tepui. The epithet means "sand-dwelling", this specimen clearly lives up to its name.

Drosera lowriei
a member of the tuberous, winter growing sundews. Most of the ~50 species live in SW Western Australia.

Drosera roraimae
growing in pure quartz on Mount Roraima (VEN).

Drosera lanata
- a member of the Wooly Sundews. They are native to the hot and humid north of Australia. Because of their characteristic, hairy petioles this group of Drosera is referred to as the Petiolaris complex.

Drosera intermedia
There are quite a few species native to middle Europe, with Drosera intermedia among the most beautiful. My native favorite.

Drosera sewelliae
belongs to the beautiful group of pygmy Drosera, with tiny rosettes of few cm and often large, colourful flowers - sometimes bigger than the whole plant itself.
